By giving managers precise financial data for pricing, resource allocation, and performance enhancement, cost analysis is essential to strategic decision-making. With an emphasis on methods like Activity-Based Costing (ABC), strategic cost management, and target costing, this study employs a qualitative methodology based on secondary data from scholarly sources to investigate how cost analysis supports strategic decisions. Case studies of Toyota Motor Corporation, Amazon, and Walmart are used to support the study and show how cost analysis is used in various businesses. The results demonstrate that sophisticated costing methods increase competitive advantage, optimize resource allocation, and improve decision accuracy. However, obstacles like implementation costs and system complexity might reduce its efficacy. The study comes to the conclusion that cost analysis is a strategic tool that improves organizational performance and suggests implementing digital technology and sophisticated cost systems to facilitate decision-making in changing contexts.
